To help determine if your business is eligible for the Small Business Development Grant, please review the following criteria. If you cannot answer YES to ALL of the questions, then you are not eligible to apply for this grant: -

1.     Your business has a turnover of between $250,000 and $5 million per annum.

2.     Your business is a registered, solvent, non-tax exempt South Australian business based in Southern Adelaide with a minimum trading history of two years.

3.     You can clearly outline the business opportunity (e.g. diversification of product/service range, increased market opportunities, commercialisation of innovative new product/services).

4.     The business opportunity presents the potential to provide favourable economic outcomes for South Australia (e.g. new jobs, increased sales, etc.).

5.     The business opportunity includes a minimum capital expenditure of $200,000 and new job creation in Southern Adelaide.

6.     You can demonstrate the ability to fund your share of the project costs (the grant is available on a matching dollar for dollar basis).

7.     You are willing to formalise the arrangement in a Funding Agreement with nominated milestones and employment and investment outcomes.

8.     You have NOT previously received Commonwealth or State funding for this particular expansion project.

If you can answer YES to all these questions, then please download the "SBDG Funding Guidelines" (see link below).  You will also need to complete an "Expression of Interest" form (see download link below).
